Day 6
Yesterday was very calm day. We went to get our visas and our bank accounts. Then after that Jubi went to work and I met up with Rachel. We went to Ikea so Rachel could get pillows and there are two locations here! We walked in the wrong direction for about fifteen minutes and ended up figuring out how to work the buses here. Rachel and I have figured out that there is something satisfying missing in the food and we cannot figure out what it is. Even the American style food is missing something! I know it is bad to eat American food but there is something missing here in the food. I have had hawker meals but all I really want is breakfast! After we went to Ikea we headed back towards the city. We stopped in the financial district and found a spot to people watch. This was fun because we got to watch everyone in business attire head home. We also kept getting starred at(they are not taught not to stare) so it is hard getting used to that. They also do not say please, thank you, or bless you. There was one man on the subway that sneezed and all I wanted to do was say bless you but I knew I would get looked at weirdly. The rush hour here is like 8-10 and 7-9 ish give or take. I road the subway home for the first time by myself so that was fun and felt like I am just at school in Providence haha. I still feel like I am in a movie or this is unreal. When I got back my family had my try Korean noodles which was good! Juni is so cute she is the three year old girl and she reminds me of Aidan. The parents always have her not distract me while I am eating or anything but I really do not mind she is so cute. She also speaks better English than Korean so I understand her.
